Femi started his journey in Benin, West Africa, where he was adopted by missionaries Rod and Lynda Hollinger-Janzen. At age 6, Femi moved to Goshen, IN, where he grew to love the game of soccer. Femi was able to develop his soccer skills by playing for several club teams in the Goshen area ending his high school club career with Elkhart County United. In 2011 Femi attended the IU soccer camp where he was named the camp MVP and earned himself an IU soccer scholarship.
During his time at IU Femi was able to help Indiana secure their 8th national championship title. During his time there Femi developed his coaching skills as he assisted with multiple club teams and soccer camps.
In 2016 Femi was drafted by the New England Revolution, where he spent 3 years playing in the MLS and his last year playing for USL side Birmingham Legion. During his professional career, Femi moved from being a forward-attacking player to ending his career at center-back. During his time at New England and Birmingham, Femi was able to develop his coaching skills by working in soccer camps and also coaching a high school boys' team in Birmingham for a season.
Currently, Femi lives in the Eagle Creek area of Indianapolis with his wife, Jerica, and his two little girls, Genesis (2) and Isla (10 months). He now works as an Account Executive for a software company, assists in coaching at PSA, and does private coaching.
