Wellness & Life Skills
At PSA, our Wellness program is designed to teach students how to thrive both on and off the field. We focus on developing key life skills such as responsibility, time management, and personal ownership. Our goal is to guide athletes in balancing their roles as students and athletes, emphasizing the dedication and discipline required to succeed in both areas. Through this approach, we equip students to succeed both in their athletic pursuits and everyday life.
Neuroscience
Students will learn about their brain and how it deals with stress and adversity. Learning how their brain works leads to strategies and a better understanding how to handle both successes and difficultly with an awareness and perspective needed in order to succeed.
Yoga
As a component of both wellness and athletics, yoga is a wonderful way for our young student athletes to improve strength, balance, and flexibility while providing a way to relax and rest their brains. We are excited to partner with Honor Yoga Fishers to teach out students yoga.
Nutrition
Our students will learn about the health benefits of certain foods. Students will also learn to prepare simple breakfast and lunch meals and make them both at the academy and at home.
